Lake Barambah

Situated 15 kilometres from Murgon in the South Burnett, Lake Barambah, also known as Bjelke-Petersen Dam, is stocked with golden perch (yellowbelly) and Australian bass.  Continual stockings have ensured that there are varied sizes of silver perch, golden perch and bass.

Lake Barambah The concrete boat ramp directly in front of the camping ground has limited parking and a fish-cleaning table.  There is another concrete ramp closer to the main wall, with plenty of parking and a well-gressed picnic area and toilets.

Hire boats are available on-site if you don't own a boat and want to explore the lake. Places that regularly produce good bags include Lightning Ridge, Treasure Island and the timbered upper reaches.

A Stocked Impoundment Permit is needed to fish Lake Barambah, Boonoodma Dam and Lenthalls Dam.
