Situated in the breathtakingly beautiful countryside of the South Burnett which is one of Queensland's leading wine regions. Located two and a half hours north west of Brisbane, the South Burnett features some of the largest vineyards and wineries in Queensland through to smaller boutique cellar doors and distilleries. With over thirteen cellar doors in the region there is a wide variety of properties for guests to visit. Daily wine tours to the region operate and many of the cellar doors are open seven days a week.

The Yarraman Heritage Centre is situated in the heart of Yarraman on two and three quarter acres. There are eight historic buildings on the site including what was once a Sisters of Mercy Convent. This is a two story building 25 metres by 15 metres. The internal walls are stained tongue and groove crows ash timber. Also included are the Yarraman Railway Station and Arthur Brown's Butcher Shop and original slab hut.

The Yarraman Visitor Information Centre in Margaret Street is an initiative of the Yarraman Progress Association. The Visitor Information Centre is run by volunteers who can provide detailed information on the sights and attractions around the Yarraman area.
The Progress Association also organise the annual Christmas and Australia Day celebrations and support the local Youth group as well as working with Council and other organisations on behalf of Yarraman town.
