Murgon Shire Drive

Drive through the main street of Murgon and enjoy parks and gardens in the centre of its wide street.  See the patchwork landscape created by the soils and crops from Boat Mountain.  Take in some history at the Dairy Museum and go for walks in the Conservation Park.  Picnic or participate in a water sport of your choice at the Bjelke-Petersen Dam or visit Cherbourg and experience the aboriginal culture first hand.  Indulge yourself at the cellar doors on the Barambah Wine Trail.

Distance: Total round trip distance is approximately 160 kilometres.
Time: Allow at least a half-day to complete the drive.
Road Conditions: The majority of roads are sealed. They are narrow country roads so care needs to be taken. There is a one kilometre stretch on the Barambah Wine Trail that is gravel.
